UNDER 10 PREMIERS

U10 Piglets staged one of the most remarkable comebacks in any rugby game to win the Grand final 36 to 35 over Wests yesterday.

The pigs started the game very slowly and were stung by a couple of early tries to Wests who had all the ball early in the first half. Amazing defence and some hard counter rucking kept the pigs in the game  with very limited opportunity to attack the opposition line. The kids went to halftime down 28 to 5.

The club does not know what was in the water or oranges at halftime but the change was amazing, they fought their way back in to the game with great hands and furious support of both the tackler and the ball carrier, the cleanouts from the ball contest stopped any efforts wests could muster.

With a minute to go the piglets were down 35 to 31 and had knocked on from the kick off. they somehow managed to get the ball and with Wests giving away 3 penalties in a row they got within 10 metres of the line, Kane Davis picked the ball up from back of the ruck scooted over and that was a winner.

The JRUC would like to thank everyone that travelled to support the kids and also congratulate Riley Duggan on player of the match from ACTJRU
